About The Artist

Finding the true body connection within through our felt sense as we use words, music, touch, energy, movement, and breathing, to dive into our fears and release long held issues in our body.

For when we go deep within, we will then find the answers to our life and bring about an awareness that is a more powerful healer than anything we have ever witnessed.

What To Expect During A Session

In a safe place fulled clothed and in a quiet environment, you are gently guided through the process. Before the process starts, background information will be taken and discussed to help guide you and the therapist through the process in the most effective way.

As you go into the session, the therapist will begin by asking you to be present, tune in, focus, feel and sense what is going on in your body. In early sessions, this may not be easy but with continued practice, you will develop the brain-body connection which will allow you to more easily sense your body. As you learn this skill, you will be able to use it throughout your days to bring more awareness and consciousness to your life.

When you begin to sense and feel in your body, you may be asked to breathe or move or engage certain actitivites that use props such as energy balls or stretch bands to help faciliate the healing release and active engagement of the mind with the body. The goal is not to make the prop, tool or person being the thing that helps bring about change but using these things to connect deeper in our mind as we connect with the difficult parts of our body.

Throughout the session, there may be waves of activity where more will be going on and then there will be times of rest. It is in the pendulation of increased activity and then the times of rest where healing comes with great power, speed and where you don't become overwhelmed by the process.

Some things to expect in a session may include crying, screaming, laughing, difficulty breathing and most likely an increase in pain. You might notice fatigure or a large amount of energy. There might be increased anxiety, sadness or euphoria. Your body may become tense and struggle to move freely or you may notice that your body is moving and vibrating in ways that seem unusual.

This is all okay and it is perfrectly normal because this is the body's way of releasing the stress and trauma is has been holding. The body does truly know what it needs to do and if we allow the process to unfold, the deep healing and peace that comes aftetwards is so beautiful. All of these things will be temporary because as the potential energy behind these sensations is released, they will dissipate.

The therapist will of course be there guiding you through all of this and making sure that you do not become overwhelmed by the process. The process is about going into the fear but not getting lost in the fear. While some of this may sound strange or unusual, the therapist has been through this process themselves. So they fully understand what it means to experience these things and how to come through them.

At the end of the session, there will be a sense of release, relief and joy. It may vary for each person. With each session, these moments will most likely grow deeper. There will always be a time of rest at the end of the session.

Please allow anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours for a session. There is no way to guage just how long it may go and each session will most likely be different from the last session. If you can plan some time alone after a session where you can be by youserlf in a quiet place and journal your thoughts, that would be very helpful in your own process.

After A Session

Changes and shifts will be occuring after you go through these sessions. At times it may be relatively easy and at other times it could be challenging. You may notice all kinds of bodily sensations that you never experience before and you may also feel fatigued or almost as if you are sick. There have been many times that I have expeirenced the feeling of getting a cold and sinus issues which was just part of the process. In no way could I list everything that you might experience after a session because each person is unique and how it impacts us will vary person to person.

Just understand that this is part of the continuiing process that is unfolding. Even though the actual session ended, your body is still trying to release and balance itself. Take time to journal about your experiences and bring them up at the beginning of your next session. I will also be available by phone at any time should you need to call me and speak with me.

The process of change and growth can be challenging at times but with support, the process gets easier and you become aquainted with so much more in your life than you currently know.
